 Founded by Alisha Smith, Get Fit Companion is built on more than 15 years of experience helping clients reach their goals through personalized, in-home training. Guided by Alisha’s background as an athlete and her training in social work, yoga, mindfulness, and personal training, our team approaches each session with adaptability and care—supporting clients physically, mentally, and emotionally. Every workout is intentional, encouraging, and designed to be both effective and enjoyable.

A Calling Rooted in Care


Get Fit Companion was born from years of listening—not just to bodies, but to people.

Founded by Alisha Smith and shaped by over 15 years of experience in personal training, athletics, yoga, mindfulness, and social work, Get Fit Companion reflects a belief shared by our entire team: movement should feel supportive, safe, and deeply personal.


Over time, our team recognized a common need among older adults and those navigating life transitions. Many wanted to remain strong, independent, and capable—but felt intimidated by gyms, unsure of what exercises were safe, or discouraged by past injuries or health concerns. Others simply didn’t feel seen in traditional fitness spaces.

What they needed wasn’t pressure or intensity.
They needed guidance, trust, and companionship.

That realization became the foundation of Get Fit Companion.


Strength Designed for Real Life

At Get Fit Companion, we focus on strength that truly matters—the kind that supports everyday living. Standing up from a chair with ease. Carrying groceries confidently. Walking with better balance, stability, and peace of mind.

Every session is one-on-one and thoughtfully tailored by our team to each individual’s abilities, health history, comfort level, and goals. There is no rushing, no comparison, and no intimidation—only steady progress at the client’s pace.

Training takes place in the home because that’s where clients feel safest, most relaxed, and most empowered. When movement feels familiar and approachable, consistency and confidence naturally follow.


More Than Fitness

What truly sets Get Fit Companion apart is the relationship.

Many of our clients are navigating aging, recovery from injury, chronic conditions, or a desire to remain independent for as long as possible. Having a trusted, compassionate professional show up regularly provides reassurance, encouragement, and meaningful connection.

Sessions may include strength, balance, mobility, and gentle mindfulness—but just as importantly, they include presence, conversation, and care. Clients are not just exercising; they are being supported, respected, and truly seen.

Families often share how comforting it feels to know their loved one has a reliable, qualified companion helping them move safely and confidently at home.
